PhD candidate Dang Khoa Nguyen, under the supervision of Professor Ting-Han Wang, was awarded First Place in the Clinical Research Category at the prestigious IADR General Session 2025.
His groundbreaking research, titled "Deep Learning Classification of Decayed-Missing-Filled Tooth Status on Intraoral Photos," impressed the international judging panel with its innovative application of artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms in analyzing intraoral photographs to assess dental health status. This work offers a promising tool for enhancing diagnostic accuracy and clinical efficiency in dentistry.
